With or Without Guns Which is safer?

That is a question each and every parent asks every time their kids go to school, or do they. The gun related incidents in several US schools and elsewhere around the world, have prompted legislation that makes gun ownership a bit tad harder but there are always loopholes as the incidents themselves have shown. Guns have been in the blood of all Americans since the Constitution includes a phrase that states, each and every American had the right to bear arms and it was interpreted literally as is. Gun control which has been in place ever since crooks started to tote guns and so law enforcers had to catch up and started to carry their own (for protection). Does the world need guns? Ask yourself, and you’ll say no but get involved or have somebody you know involved in gun related incidents and you’ll suddenly have a change of heart (most probably).
All of us have been exposed to a society that has been made and shaped by weapons of all shapes and sizes and all of them were invented for self-preservation from other humans. Guns is a way of saying don’t mess with me or I’ll mess with you and it’s not a very comforting idea to see one in public for it always raises your blood pressure at mere sight. The US has had a long and hard history of gun related violence and so has the rest of the world but the basic and main idea of bearing arms has been lost in translation so to speak in all the violence and crime that has been related to and blamed on these weapons of choice. They are small, deadly and easy to carry so what else could you ask for in a personal protection measure, others carrying the same weapons! Paranoia is the game and if society cannot deal with the problem, then should we allow society to take care of itself by allowing everybody to carry guns? You be the Judge!

Where the Philosophers Are At

We usually hear about them and discuss them during our educational lives but while other just goes through the motions of having to be aware of them, there are also people who want to extend their line of knowledge by simply looking for related work. There are over a dozen philosophers we have known throughout the years and most of them own different proverbs and studies of interest to people who are fully aware of what is going on today. Indeed, they have given logical acclamations something to think of.

Much of what we believe in today when it comes to principles and the like are sure to be something that many of us would agree to be one and true. It would be truly amazing to note and depict what they are other less heralded points have to deliver.

The True Definition of Philosophy!

Many have tried and many have failed at this endeavour. Philosophy has been defined by many and many have attempted to become the masters of philosophy. But is there a finite and true one definition of philosophy. Philosophy seems to contradict itself due to the fact that man began contepmlating about it since recorded history can recall or has records of. One philosopher says according to his extensive study into the field that this is the rational analysis of the world around us in a way that is obscure to most people on this planet.

Who else can give us a true definition of philosophy then? Academics, economists, scientists, physicists…….. you can call all forms and shapes of experts from all fields of science and they will each have a definition that they see as the absolute definition of philosophy. But when you ponder on the foundations laid thousands of years ago by the world’s earliest philosophers there is no one true definition. Even after dedicating their whole lives to the study of philosophy you would still have a different view of what it is. This is why it is so difficult to define, ask a fool on what it means and he might say, ” I do not know”, but that statement is in a way an application of the fundamental theories of philosophy. Information is knowledge, knowledge and power and people in power are fools for they think they become something above everything else void of the shortcomings and failures that makes us human. Thinking that having all the knowledge in the world under your belt gives you the knowledge and thus power to say that others are wrong in their perception of philosophy is a true fallacy indeed for all of us who are part of the human race is what philosophy is all about. The science of trying to understand an individual who is different from everybody else around him thus indefinable.

So Philosophy has no one true meaning, and that any definition can be either true or false. Maybe that’s why the father’s of philosophy were treated as fools and ridiculed as such. For asking questions that only fools did and tried to make sense of the world. Maybe that’s the true meaning of philosophy, strip yourself of all the things that makes you, yourself and you might, you might just be able to define it definitely. But after that, nobody would be interested in what you say for you are now a nobody and nobody listens to nobody’s.

Clashing Religions Clash with Customs

Many of us have so far been exposed to people who follow a different religion. Along with this comes different customs and traditions. While we may tag them as friends and associates, taking it to the next level such as personal and intimate relationships may not necessarily be a good idea.

For one, the count of people who get along without conflicts of interest such as religious practices or customary family traditions are rising in numbers. The ability to adjust accordingly and fit in is often the most criticized aspect of it all. There are some people who lower their pride and hit it off but the question of sincerity will often follow suit. In short, adjusting to one another is one thing but prolonging it is another.

Most people today have to deal with this, particularly for people who get drawn into the opposite sex for one reason or another. But you will see through divorces and separations that many people fail to work it out, particularly because they don’t want to give way. Hard as they may want to fend it off, it remains that such issues are easier said than done.

There is no philosophical belief that would rescind people from wanting to be with one another. There will always be barriers and often the challenge is to break them down. In marriages and relationships, that is a tough task to conquer. But there are exceptions and all of these are overcome in time.
